Wolffe's Ways

I'm very happy with how it came out. (yes there will be the obligatory picture coming soon to your eyes) Essentially I restrung one of my former necklaces and added a little in. When I got my ordainment one of the former members of my Kindred restrung a necklace for me at that time, but the wire did not hold. And the necklace broke(the idea behind restringing it then was that we added in 7 pieces of jet to turn it into a necklace fit for a gydhia)but the wire she used was not strong enough and it broke. This week I went and got much stronger(and more flexible)wire and restrung it yet again, and added another piece of jet so that now all the major holy-tides are represented. It looks fabulous. I now have it around the Freyja statue on my altar and I will only wear it when I'm doing gydhia work, on behalf of Freyja, or on the holy-tides.

So my next deity project will be a necklace for Freyja. I've considered the idea of restringing one of my amber necklaces that fell apart not too long ago and giving it to Her as an offering. I think it would be appropriate. I can't wear all of them all the time. And I would then be able to wear it as my 'official' Freyja necklace. All I would need to buy then would actually be the wire to string it on. I've thought about this so much that the more I think about it, the more it seems like a good idea. So that is most likely what I am going to do. It's not that I'm cheap. I'm actually not, but honestly, I have a lot of unstrung amber already, so buying more amber to string? Not really high on my list of things to do, especially as the amber for sale at Byzantium is not going to be as high a quality as the amber that is lying in my possession now. I could always make Her a necklace that wasn't very high in amber quantity and had a lot of other stones in it... But why do that when She loves amber? This has kind of been the continuous loop of logic going through my brain. Yeah.

I was a bad,bad woman today and blew off every responsible thing I was supposed to do and went swimming!!! Swimming I tell you... It was the awesome. I love the water and it loves me. I also got a new amber and turquoise necklace which I am bartering my services for... And went out to eat wonderful food... Vegetarian grape leaves and french fries, with a lovely friend of mine... Yay for lazy days... Oh yay!
