Jimmy Buffet Says:
242. Our arrangements are complete
It appears, that my poetry is popular with Northern Traditionalists :D For this I am grateful actually. It tells me that even when I thought I was all alone in how I practiced or thought that there were other people like me. I posted an older poem, on one of the communities I'm a maintainer on, and boom! Out of nowhere now one of the members wants to use it in a book she is putting forth. So go me. I was rather surprised and not surprised at the same time. I knew she was looking for material for her book, so it was a possibility she'd ask, but part of me always is filled with a sense of "am I really this good?" when people want to use my material. I guess the answer to this has to be yes. So yayness and all that good stuff. Yeah baby.
I am aware that there are a lot of people out there, some of whom are my friends who are going to be very upset by the content of this piece of work. The fact of the matter is this, I write what I write, and it so happens that though people have been offended I have never been told by Odin or any of the other Gods not to write it. So, the way I see it is this, the sensibilities of other human beings must be much more hair-trigger than those of the Gods in this respect. This doesn't mean I'm disloyal to Odin or any of the Gods, though I am sure any mainstream Heathen out there might take it as such, but simply that there are more sides to an issue than what the more stringent rules of interpretation are allowing for. One of the things about Heathenry or any form of alternative religion is, is that you have the ability to make decisions for yourself without worrying about vengeful Gods wreaking down wrathful acts upon your head. The ones you actually have to watch out for are the practitioners. So, say what's on your mind, but realize that whatever poetry that comes from my hand, honoring God,Jotun, or Wight, it's because I was inspired and I don't back down. 'Nuff said?
