"Sea Wights You Taste Yummy!"

So monkeyman and I went out to eat at Sushiko which is a very decent/nice sushi place... We had a blast. It was a way of celebrating the end of my work on Runes From A Vanic Perspective as well as just cutting loose a bit. At any rate, afterward, we came home and did blot... So we're blotting and I of course honored Njord as well as Ran, AEgir and the 9 Daughters for all the various things they do...After I got done with this very serious moment, he gets it into his head that he should just cut loose and goes, "Sea wights you taste yummy! Especially with a bit of ..." and starts to list all the various things that go into making up sushi... Well I get into the act and start listing things that he's leaving out and by the end we're practically rolling in the ritual room. Yeah we're a regular laugh riot. :D So proud of ourselves. I'm sure that Loki got a bit of a kick out of it if nothing else. At any rate after that, I continued with the blot, wrapped it up and we took the cider out to the Oak tree to offer up. It was a great deal of fun. You bet. Yippee, yippee, yippee!

Etin Moot:Getting There & Day One

So I told you all these entries would be out of order... Seriously warned you. But then again, it's pretty much whatever takes my fancy at the moment I suppose... I'm not really that orderly a person in this context.
Wednesday and Thursday scrunched together because I'm that kind of person and I can do it... So there! )

The Lazy Day Of Ayla

I was a bad,bad woman today and blew off every responsible thing I was supposed to do and went swimming!!! Swimming I tell you... It was the awesome. I love the water and it loves me. I also got a new amber and turquoise necklace which I am bartering my services for... And went out to eat wonderful food... Vegetarian grape leaves and french fries, with a lovely friend of mine... Yay for lazy days... Oh yay!

Jimmy Buffet Says:

273. The darling of deserted beaches hides her rhythms in a shell.

Oh dear me... I think this must be Ran... Yes oh yes indeed. Her and her 9 daughters... Later this summer I am going to be honoring them in a wondrous blot in New England. I am so, so excited. You bet I am. I am so looking forward to Etin Moot. every day of my life I am looking more and more forward to Etin Moot and the concept of doing the Blot for Ran, AEgir and the 9 Daughters. It's been so many years since I was last there... 20 years mind you. And it feels like I left part of myself in New England. I love the idea of going back. I hope I take that part of me back home this time... I don't know what else to say... Of course I'll leave another piece of me on that beach with them all... I know I will but this piece will be healthy and willing and mature. Yes it will...:)I am so happy and so much more me than ever I was then. I think I will take some shells with me to give back. Though I know there are more than enough shells in the water washing up every day, maybe we can make an 'exchange' old shells for new.

Riding On A Viking Ship....

So Friday I went for a ride on what you would call a 'modified' reconstructionist Viking ship. Yup. It looked pretty darn close, but, had a motor aboard for those 'unexpected' situations. And a good thing too. Because at the end of the day we used it. It made us able to get out the last time around. Though it did cause a problem for one of the women who went out earlier in the day as she breathed the fumes from the gasoline and it caused her to have such an asthma attack that she had to go to the hospital. :( Poor thing.

The ride itself was fantastic! I haven't been on a ship of any kind since I was 13 years old. And the first thing I noticed when I got on the ship was the smell... It was wonderfully fragrant. I was in ecstacy. The next thing was all the birds that were in the sky at various times. We got to see tons of birds... And of course the movement of the ship on the water was so relaxing, we sailed back to harbor. The sail was HUGE, and it had a battle raven painted on it. The whole experience was just wonderful. I have to say it really was. Yeah baby! I want to do it again and again and again. I think I'm hooked. Really.

The other night when I did my Friday night blot I honored Njord,AEgir and Ran for the joy I had on the ship too. You bet I did. My clothes still smell like the ship and the water too because I took them off as soon as I got home. Yesterday I put them back on, and I enjoyed the lingering smell of the experience. You bet I did. :)

Did I mention I love The Lost Vikings who supplied the experience? Yes oh yes I do. :)
