Wolffe's Ways

So I went over to kassandrak21's place to cook and hang out. Yeah. So much fun. We decided what we were going to make and I got to finally test drive an Indian Cookbook I have owned forever and ever you bet. At any rate, I made Aloo Mutter which is a kind of spiced potato and pea dish. Very tasty. I had to make my own Garam Masala because I didn't have any. I had everything I needed for it except the fennel seed. I bought it. Yay. Lucky for me, she had a coffee grinder(the electric kind)because I didn't take my mortar and pestle with me since I am dumb(really more forgetful but yeah...)and I needed to grind a ton of stuff. At any rate... Well and well enough. All the spices got ground that needed ground and then I toasted them in the pan and they were fragrant oh yes they were... I finally got everything chopped that needed chopped. Oy what a lot of chopping there was! But it was worth it. The whole thing cooked together and we had a tasty, tasty, dish. Even the meat eaters fell to. In fact there was none left at the end of the night... Yeah. I felt rewarded. :) She made some pork tenderloin dish that was well received also I believe, in fact I think that being men almost everything got 'et' as it were. There were some leftover potatoes and onions that she had fried up but I'm pretty sure the meat went.(I didn't pay much attention to the meat honestly it does not really grab my attention.)Eventually I had to come home and take medication. I also had to make sure that Tyr got his blot of the evening(along with Eir of course)before making this entry... I decided to blot outside since lordvyle was already asleep when I got home. It started to rain lightly while I was out doing blot, so I wound it up rather faster than I had intended but I don't think that either Eir or Tyr minded too awful much. What needed to be said got said. :) Now I'm winding things up for the night before relaxing with a good book and then heading off to the world of dreams. Go me. A nice day.
