More Adventures In Real Time
So I've been gone a while... And with good reason. I went to KY to visit friends for a week and I had to work my butt off ahead of time to get ready for it, then of course was the out of town time and recuperation time. That makes for very busy me... Go life. The visit was totally awesome. I got to hang with D and his family... Get to know the kids, the wife etc. which was totally cool. I think I can say there is one chihuahua in this world I like though I nicknamed it puppy chow as it really is that small, seriously. There was a Seidhr event held while I was out there and I got to see folks that I wouldn't have seen otherwise while there... Yayness! I even paid a friend to come back to C-Bus and pick up
lokiswench so she could attend... It was the last one that she will be going to for some time since she'll be going out of the USA for college come the fall. Go her. :D I made new friends and it looks like I'll have the opportunity to make Etin Moot this year. I did end up without a voice toward the end, simply due to the amount of talking I did while there... And you thought I talked a lot normally didn't you? Yeah right... I finally have my voice back btw. The airplane ride home was terrible and I had my ears pop so violently I was deaf for half a day and I am still having some problems hearing. So I may have to see a dr. joy to the world. :( I miss KY already... I want to go back and stay for real. Yeah.
I went to the POW WOW this weekend, and it was good... I enjoyed myself mainly... I had some really strong memories come back to me. Some good some not so good. It felt weird being there and not having the kids or my ex-husband by my side. It was also weird in that some of the main people I knew back in the day(other than my ex)are now dead and were not there... But I did see people I knew which was very, very cool... Folks were nice to me, and I didn't feel completely out of place the way I did the few times I went after my divorce so go me. I may even go again next year, we shall see... This was something I really needed to do for myself, as at some point you really need to put the past to rest and I have reached that stage in my life if I am going to move on. I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to do so. Yup.I also had an invite to go back to the NAIC and spend time there, which was very cool as at one point I felt very ostracized and as though I had no place there... So I may do so we shall see.
